kumarakom is a tiny hamlet on the banks of a lagoon, with it is a picturesque world of backwaters, thatched houseboats, mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields; exotic birds such as cormorants, siberian storks, egrets, darters, herons and teals, chinese fishing nets and coconut groves. interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals. every evening we witnessed some amazing weather conditions with threatning clouds, rain and eventually beautiful sunsets.
