umbria the lesser known sister of tuscany in italy is equally beautiful with its ancient architecture and undulating hills of olive groves. we visited the neighboring city of perugia and were delightfully surprised at the rich architecture and culture of the city. sienna the beautiful ancient city of tuscany, a few hours drive from where we stayed, spreads out over the hills, with elongated houses and slim church steeples, all in a lively and uneven landscape.

an old, no longer functional steel mill, completely redone to accomadate people, was a great setting for a reception party!
