back in delhi for erik's wedding, i spent a few days in jaipur, the pink city, in rajasthan and visited amber fort and city palace. it was 2 days of rest of and relaxation combined with some site-seeing. the amber fort built in the 17th century looks imposing as it probably did 4 centuries ago. the city palace is an imposing blend of traditional rajasthani and mughal art and architecture with a great blend of bright colors - red, yellow and green.

we rafted down the isar river as part of our office summer party. 80 of us on a raft of logs held together by metal ropes.
