i'd been to the agra about 25 years prior and wanted to re-aquaint myself with this city of great and beautiful monuments. taj mahal - the construction of this marble masterpiece is credited to the mughal emperor shah jahan who erected this mausoleum in the memory of his beloved wife, mumtaz mahal, who died in 1630 AD. agra fort - the foundation of this majestic citadel was laid by the emperor akbar, and it developed as a stronghold of the mughal empire.

i'd been meaning to see the delhi fort for a while and i chose a foggy day in delhi to do it. i will visit again on a sunny day.
